Hey honey-buns, now I know what your thinking... spring?! In the middle of autumn!?
Well, yes. I am working on a little project and this will provide me with a great deal of help and I thought you might like to join in? I'll be posting these daily if I get any feedback from you guys?!(: It's just something quick and fun to do when your bored...
Sooo think spring and GO!
Do you LOVE or HATE...
Bows? Leggings? Peach blush?
The question is...
What fashion accessory will you be showing off this spring?!
Hey chummies, I hope you're feeling well!(: This morning's post is very different! I hope you don't mind and though it's not a happy, little story, I hope you, kind of... enjoy it...
:S
So, this blog, as it states above, is 'my journey through fashion, beauty and liver disease.
If you are a new visitor to this page and have no clue what I am talking about, look here>
Ok, so first things first this is not a happy post, so if you have no interest in reading please don't. PS I am not looking for sympathy in any way whatsoever, but this is my little space on the big wide web so here it goes...
Here I am. Laid on the couch, feeling like absolute poop- sick bowl at the ready.
So last friday I had this same, stabbing-like pain in my lower abdomen. My mum and dad always ask, "Out of ten, how bad is the pain?" Ten being the worst. I have a very high pain thresh-hold and don't complain until it gets really bad so when I stumbled into my mum's room at 3am, rocking back- and fourth and clutching my pain engulfed abdomen, I was a solid 8. Along with this pain came an extremely dry mouth and a little nausea... I was taken to hospital where, (IF YOU'RE SQUEAMISH, PLEASE STOP READING)...
I got out and threw up in the parking lot, three times! (Classy, eh? But I couldn't help it). I was then admitted at around 4.30am still in a great deal of pain and had vomitted again, twice, luckily, this was the end of that as I had NOUT left to chuck up! My dinner was a 'goner' and so was all the other junk I don't want to think about now!
The reason I'm explaining this is because the pain is back and so is the nausea, but this time it's much worse but thank goodness I haven't thrown my guts, yet.. and hec, yep, the dry mouth has made a return too!
So, I know what you're thinking... why don't you get your ass to the hospital again then? Well, I wish I could, but we rang my hospital that I go to for my liver treatment and all that jazz and they said just to go to my local, soo, we rang my local and there are no doctors on the ward! I mean what on earth?! I suppose they must all be off fixing up some other patient, which, by the way, I appreciate entirely and I don't care if I have to wait if it gets them going again, but I have to admit it is frustrating when the only thing I do want to admit is being admitted to hospital:/
I'm actually doing surprisingly okay, normally I would never be able to concentrate this long; I'd be rocking back and fourth; I would of tried every body position in the book; I'd on the floor; on the sofa; on the bed; standing up; sitting down; pacing back and fourth and back and fourth...
The pain now is about a 6 or 7, which I can just about deal with as writing this is keeping me distracted. My vocab. is probably shocking alongside, my grammar and spelling but this is what it's really like. I couldn't have gone and come back feeling as fit as a fiddle, then write this as I eventually become so engulfed in it all, my brains fuzzy when I try to re-call the event. So here it is up, live and personal. Wish me luck, I'll be going to my loval at 9.30... 1 hour to go!!!
So, if you watch my channel you will know I did a swap with Elouise1984!
Well it arrived today and I am so overjoyed and greatful with what I found in my little parcel- more than I can ever wish for!
(Thank you sooo much Elle and her beautiful little girl!)
I pulled the parcel out of it's big envelope and this is the first thing I saw!
Saffron, Elle's little girl decorated the lid for me and I love it! It's so cute!
(Thank you beautiful)!
^
Okay so I opened up the box and straight away, I noticed the lid which had some sweeties taped inside and as little heart saying 'much love' drawn in the middle! ADORABLE!
Elle knows how much I love vintage, especially Cath Kidston's famous styles, so she wrapped all the little gifts in this beautiful red polka dot paper!!! It looks so beautiful!!
So.. for my birthday I got this delightful little LUSH Giftbox:

If you follow me on instagram: LULUBALOOLUXO, you might know that on friday I tried out one of the amazing bath ballistics.
Anyway, Friday came and I really felt that I needed to unwind, relax and drift off somewhere away from the chores of daily life, so, obviously a bath was certainly on the menu. However, I was bored of 'normal-people-bubble-bath'!
Off I went to my little, fairly untidy- (I must admit), bedroom only to find it in a little pile of things near my desk. I decided I wanted to use the 'Think Pink Bath Bomb' because I thought it would bring a little excitement to bathe in a pool of hot pink and so I grabbed the little bath bomb and safely eposited on the side of the bath while I got into my birthday suit! :D
Getting closer to the point, here's how I made my bath lovely, pretty and PINK!
I filled up the tub- fairly deep, because I hate feeling the cold on my shoulders, peeking above the water, that and to start off with I made it scolding hot and some cold was definitely needed!
Anyway, a little piece had already broken off so I threw it in and watched it dissolve in seconds, but I was really happy with it as the colour didn't spread out well and it was a very light pink! I grabbed a hair teasing brush, (the nearest thing to hand), and I began grinding up the side of the ballistic with the handle of the brush as I watched the specks of pink dust fall into the warm water and create a beautiful bright pink after using less than a quarter of the bomb! AMAZING!
At first I was a little frustrated because there were little dots of pink at the bottom of the tub that weren't dissolving no matter how much I swished my hand through the water, until I took a closer look and discovered that they were in fact the most adorable little confetti hearts!
When I got in the bath it the water had a silky feeling to it which put me at ease instantly after a looong day! Also, I expected the little hearts that had fallen from the bath bomb to feel a little gritty but I couldn't feel anything!
When I got out of my little piece of temporary paradise my skin felt soo smooth and well, LUSH! Infact it still feels wonderful right now! I totally reccommend this especially if you're feeling itchy, one of the most annoying side effects I get, but at least I found a little bit of a cure!
Just a random post to express my disblief! I know Iphones are 'all the rage', but I didn't realise people actually go and sleep outside apple in the freezing cold, just so that they can say they were the first one, to get the first of the latest version!!!
I just went into the shopping centre to get a few bits and was literally stunned to see a boy in a sleeping bag on the stone floor alongside his family and friends! If that's not what you call eagerness and a little craziness I don't know what is?! Do you do this?! Let me know!
I don't own this photo.
Sorry about the lame stock photo but I'm no where near even on my way to ever purchasing one of these boys and let's face it; by the time I did have enough wonga saved up, there would probably already be an iphone 10! By the way, I've got no Idea how I ended up with three pictures of the iphone on one image, but hey-ho!
Hope you're all doing OK!(: I have a very special post for you today! It is my Autumn evenings Collection! Emma, our beautiful model and I had heeps of fun creating this for you and we cannot wait to do the next one! I hope you like it!
Look One:
Fair Lady of Autumn
Dress: Jane Norman
I absolutely love this dress, if I do say so myself! Tehee! It's perfect for any formal evening event or special occassion such as a wedding! The last time I wore it I was on holiday and I do admit I got a fair few compliments, not for me- but for the dress!!!
Shoes: Aldo
I just think the golden floral embroidery is simply beautiful against the chocolate brown of the garment- it's truly outstanding and these shoes are too die for! I do admit, these actually belong to my mum- because we're the same size, she let me borrow them just once for her birthday party, but apart from that they are off-limits!!! As you can see, they are from Aldo, but there are cheaper alternatives out there!
This make-up look was a big risk! I was inspired by Fashion Fables on youtube, but I had only seen the video before I chose to do this at the shoot, so this was my first time ever applying it, let alone the fact that I have literally no experience putting make-up on anyone else but myself! I've done my friends and my mum but y'know, this was diffent, as I really wanted it to look good and I'm sure Emma was sat there like 'What are you doing to my face?!' when I was applying this but it came out good I think! ... I suppose you'll let me know!♥
Look Two:
Beware of the Beautiful Heartbreaker
Trousers: Topshop £38
So it was 'Date Night' for this little lady!♥
I absolutely adore this corset, it's a size six so, there's no way I'm getting into it any time soon, but I'm sure Emma won't mind me telling you she is a size 8 and I aim to be that skinny someday, so, this will remain collecting dust until I am! I also love the claret red colour this season it just reminds of those fallen leaves which takes me on a journey in my mind of reds, oranges and burnt yellow leaves on the roads and the gardens at this particular time of year.. I don't know why but the colours make me feel warm and safe... wow, that sounds strange- 'Colours make you feel warm Lulu?!'
Corset: Jane Norman
Wedges: BANK £30
I bought these wedges around May time to go on holiday with and I can tell you it was like love at first site- I just knew I had to get them! Though, I still haven't had chance to wear them on a proper night out yet! :/
LookThree: Too Devine to Dine
Dress: STAR by Julien Macdonald; Debenhams
This look is my absolute favourite!!! I have to say I just love the whole thing, especially Emma's astounding eyes! For this shot I took quite a risk by having Emma laid on my dining room table and although I knew she was a little uncomfortable at first, she really pulled it out of the bag!
This was the most fun scene to set up as I set the table like we were in a restaurant and even threw some salad in the mix!
The dress looks phenomenal, the colour is just beautiful and I admit we got such a bargain as we found this in the sale for £40 down from about £60, although, don't quote me on that as I got this for a wedding quite a long time ago, but I still love it! What do you think?!
Beauty Close-up
I kept the makeup to a minimum because I wanted the dress to really speak for itself!
Nails: Maybelline NY Watershine Polish in Plum Shoes: STAR by Julien Macdonald
I love this nail colour, it is one of my absolute faves! I have put on around three coats here, to make it really dark, but if you want a more red finishing then one coat is definitely enough and it doesn't chip easily either!!!
These shoes were a real bargain in debenhams for about £15 and I love them to pieces especially because of the little silver studded bow on the toe which I think is soo cute!!!
Ahh, that's it! I thoroughly enjoyed creating this post for you and bringing my vision of the collection to life! Pleeeease let me know what you think!!
Thanks beautiful♥
FYI: Styling, hair, make-up and photography, plus settings/ props were all managed by myself and all of the items included are my own unless stated uotherwise above and I am not being sponspored in any way.
This was a 'shop-my-own-stash' collection but I have included prices of all the items still available! If you have any questions go on ahead and ask and I will do my absolute best to answer as many as possible! Don't be afraid to request tutorials for anything related to this post! I am currently planning the next shoot but if there is a theme/idea for a shoot you would like me to do don't be afraid to tell me below! I love hearing from you!
Todays post is a little different from what I'm used to and before I start blabbering on about it, I just wanna let you know this is not a 'sympathy-search' and if these posts don't interest you then please don't feel you have to read them. That's not the case. I decided to write these kinds of posts because I know there are people who may be able to relate to them in some way, shape or form! So here it is...
I have Autoimmune Liver Disease and I am currently waiting for a Liver transplant. I feel like I made this announcement in such a dramatic way, but seriously, this thing doesn't bother me at all! :D
Now, you're probably thinking 'What the hell is she talking about?!' Well, the only way I can explsain it is like this: Right, your immune system attacks a cold you may of caught but for me, my immune system attacks my liver as if it was a cold meaning that a scar is forming along it.
I have had this for probably since I first came into the world but I didn't discover it until February last year, when I was thirteen.
Here's the full story:
So, as I mentioned in the video I have to take many tables but, the one that really stands out in my mind is what I personally think is the worst. It makes my face swollen and for me, that's not a good look, but I try not to let it hold me back and I just try and use the best possible contouring techniques, haircuts/ styling and clothing to create a slimmer, more defined look... though by no means do you need any of this- the fact that you aree different is what makes you beautiful- honestly!
On to the more positive side of things, I can truly say this has made me stronger, though I was pretty strong anyway, there's probably very little you can throw at me now and I am quite proud of that now I think about that; it makes me feel safe.(:
Last quick little thing, I was diagnosed with diabetes in January as a side effect of the same tablet that makes my face swell, I don't really like having diabetes as I just feel it gets in the way when I just want to sit down and eat without having to go through the little bloodtest and insulin jab but, hey, it keeps me going and it doesn't bother me too much!(-: The good thing is it motivates me to eat healthy and keep those extra pounds off! HA!(;
So.. I hope this didn't come across as a boring, upseting, depressing post but I will keep you updated anyway... speaking of updates...
Currently, as I said, I am waiting for a Liver Transplant and at the moment the doctors are doing tests on my mum because she may be able to donate me a piece of her liver. My dad also volunteered and he went through the tests also but a certaing factor meant that he could not go ahead and have the op' unfortunately!
So you're probably thinking, 'Well how can anyone live with just half of a liver?!' The liver is actually amazing!!! It is the only organ you can cut of it will grow back! Infact, you can take 9/10 of the liver away and it will have grown back to it's full size in the matter of a few months!!!
So yeah, I hope you weren't bored to death by this post!(;
So, as some of you may know I have been blogging for a couple of months already on lulu-scrumptious.blogspot.com but I wasn't very happy with it at all): I had used many 'stock photos' at the beginning before I purchased my Olympus and it just looked boring! Then, there was the design, which was too messy and I just felt I needed to start all over again, so, here we are! I hope you like it! Why not let me know what you think in the comments below?
However, for those who don't know me my name is Trulie, but you can call me Lulu- (just a little nickname I've had pretty much all my life)! I have just turned fifteen and I am currently fighting liver disease. I am inlove with the world of fashion and beauty, and have just recently discovered a new love called photography!!!(: So, that's pretty much what this blog is going to be about, but, I'm open to ideas; cooking, crafts, animals... anything!!!
My Very Tall Friend at Twycross Zoo!(:
Trulicious Model, (this is one of the looks featured in the Autumn Collection on Trulicious and will be featured alongside the other looks in the next post)!
Moving swiftly on, I decided to start this whole blogging business when I discovered VOUSSONBEAUETBELLE, Zoella,LuceStephenson & SprinkleofGlitter on youtube! They are super and their channels/blogs are immense! I highly reccomend you check them out when you've finished here and why not check out my channel aswell: LuluScrumptious?!
One of my little videos!†
Anyway, I've pretty much always been into the world of fashion! I seem to remember cutting up magazines and catalogues to put little outfits together and I guess it's just carried on from there because I'm currently studying Fashion& Textiles for my GCSEs! Soo... yeah, I'm a little nerd when it come s to this kind of stuff!(: As for the beauty side of things, well, I remember having my mum doll me up in my little girly pallettes but, I first took it on myself when I was about 10-11 when I broke out with severe acne): - not the most pleasant thing in the world I'll tell you but, I'm doing much better now! YAAY!(-:
Well, that's probably all I have to say now my lovelies! I hope to hear from you soon and you'll definitely be hearing from me! I love you all and remember no matter how different you are from the rest of the world your beautiful! You just have to believe in it!!!
